Get a Professional Second Opinion
If you're concerned your child did not receive an appropriate, comprehensive evaluation for language or reading, you can always get a second opinion before signing the school documents.
When you team up with Educational Inspiration, a specialist will review your child's testing results and their IEP (Individualized Education Program) and provide you with feedback and the tools you need to make a decision. This input may include suggestions to request more or different types of tests from your school professionals. Alternate interpretations of your child's results may also be provided.
If your school has provided you with an IEP for your child, but you are concerned the goals are not appropriate for your child, you can get another opinion before signing or renewing the IEP. Educational Inspiration will review the testing and your goals and provide you with feedback and suggestions you can utilize to have a well-informed discussion with your school.
A letter for teachers:
We are firm believers in the power of teachers. Children need the unique skill sets of many different educators as they grow and learn. At Educational Inspiration, our specialty skills are in therapy for reading, writing, and language disorders. We would like to extend our services to the families that have children enrolled at your school. Our primary goal is to ensure that children have the one-on-one attention that is necessary to properly develop language and reading skills. Early intervention makes a significant difference in the long-term outcomes.
If you believe a child in your school does not display language and literacy skills expected for children their age and/or grade, they may be exhibiting signs of a reading or language disorder and we’re here to help. During the school year we provide individual therapy, specifically for children in half-day Pre-K and K programs. In the summer, we provide language and reading support for children in Pre-K through 5th grade. We offer a reading readiness program and evaluate and treat written language disorders, such as dyslexia. Children are taught one-on-one by certified Speech-Language Pathologist and Reading Specialist, Nicole Power, who has worked with countless children in the area to improve their literacy and language skills.
If you believe that a child in your school can benefit from additional summer private language and reading support, please feel free to refer our information to the family and encourage them to contact us at (405) 285-1475 for a free consultation. A child’s early years are fundamentally important and learning to use language, read, and write effectively are pillars of a child’s young life. We’re ready to begin the journey to a bright future. If you have any questions, please contact us today.
